Cheers guys, I've actually been looking at the Samsung range and for the price / features you can't beat them!

Unfortunately if I want full 1080p I'm looking at the 5 series which is £200 more expensive than it's little brother!

Good luck with your foray into mac, I am also looking for a new lappy but cannot bring myself to give apple that much of my money.
(Also, I'd miss my second mouse button :P)

As for TV's I'd agree with Chris, the new line of Samsung screens look the business and are pretty sharp (we have one at home) and much cheaper than the sony's IIRC.

Glad the move didn't kill you!

Can't fault the MacBook Pro mate as a piece of hardware, it's great. However, I can't get used to it, both the fact that it's a laptop and OSX, for development - just doesn't work for me that well in that respect.

TVs? One of the smaller Samsung 'Pebble' screens is what I'm after, although I can't really justify it right now - they get good reviews though!
